The Southeastern Livestock Pavilion is here to help in the event of a hurricane through offering the use of our stalls to evacuees at no cost on a first-come, first-serve basis. To use this hurricane evacuation site, please fill out our evacuation declaration and contact our office. Check out some helpful tips below before the threat of a hurricane.

Equine evacuation plan

A good equine evacuation plan includes the following:

Identification of at least two exit routes & a prearranged destination.
Access to well maintained trailers, barns, & stalls. Post critical numbers & emergency contact information at barns & have evacuation authority agreements with neighbors.
Prepare identification for horses (photos, papers). Tag horses prior to evacuation & keep ID info with you so you can recover animals.
Train yourself & your horses to load & offload.
Prepare emergency supplies food & water for 72 hours.
